Rattner Argues for Stronger Conviction in Including Bitcoin in Investment Portfolios

Feb.12 — According to Steve Rattner, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Willett Advisors, embracing Bitcoin as a store of value proves challenging due to its lack of physical presence. He expresses doubt regarding the cryptocurrency’s suitability as an investment. Willett Advisors focuses on managing the personal and philanthropic assets of Michael R. Bloomberg, the founder and primary shareholder of Bloomberg LP, the parent company of Bloomberg News. Afsaneh Beschloss, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of RockCreek, indicates her intention to begin assessing Bitcoin with greater seriousness. However, she cautions about potential scrutiny from the Biden administration in terms of regulations. These insights were shared during the discussion with David Westin on “Bloomberg Wall Street Week.”
