Sam Bankman-Fried Is Refused Bail by Bahamas Magistrate

The request for bail for Sam Bankman-Fried was turned down by a magistrate in the Bahamas. The originator of the collapsed digital currency platform FTX could potentially receive a maximum sentence of 115 years in confinement if found guilty of the complete set of eight accusations issued by the US Department of Justice on Tuesday. An attorney representing Bankman-Fried stated that he intends to contest any attempt to extradite him to the US. Laura Davison’s coverage can be viewed on Bloomberg Television.
